The short film Monkey Business (original Dutch title: Voor Aap) tells the poignant story of Nila, the only girl of color in her class. When her classmate Rein suggests that Nila play the role of the monkey in the school musical, their teacher jumps to conclusions – but is it justified?
Monkey Business, produced by Kennard Bos and Indra Baars and directed by actor/director Everon Jackson Hooi, is also selected for this month’s Independent Film Festival in Paris and the New York Shorts Film Festival, having already earned an award of excellence, special mention at the Best Shorts Festival.
As of November 1st, Vincent TV Fiction has appointed Lisa May Visser to join the Amsterdam-based team in order to further develop the company’s scripted ambitions beyond quality drama for television and into feature films.
